The Ministry of Civil Defence & Emergency Management has a comprehensive website with lots of information on being prepared at home, at work, at school, at early childhood centres. Your local council has a range of free information booklets including a household emergency checklist. There is also an emergency checklist on the inside back cover of your phone book, next to the ‘Yellow Pages’. More telephone contact information is available in the White Pages in the government ‘blue pages’ or the doctors and hospitals ‘green pages’ at the front of your phone book.
