If you live in, or are visiting, an area at risk from tsunami, be aware of tsunami evacuation zones and routes and warning methods and signage.
Thames Coromandel Civil Defence Manager, Ron White has been working closely with communities in the Coromandel to develop their own Community Tsunami Action Plans. The plans provide important information to residents and visitors about local tsunami risk areas, how to prepare, what to do and who to contact in the event of an emergency.
